To give you an idea of WMT’s technical interface, as well as some insight into the nature of the elements of our online courses, we have prepared some excerpts and examples from actual courses.

Excerpts from Video Lectures

Each unit of every lab begins with a video lecture (or multiple videos) delivered by the creator of the lab.  The video below is a compilation of short moments from several lectures from different labs.

Excerpts from Audio Feedback

The Lab Evaluators provide participants with personalized feedback in the form of audio files (.mp3).  Here are some samples of that feedback:

Sample Handouts, Exercises, & Assignments

Most units of the labs will have Handouts that you can print out; Exercises that you can do if you choose; and Assignments that you will submit for evaluation.  Here are some samples of those documents:

Sample Interactive Test

WMT’s online interactive tests are designed to reinforce and build on the concepts discussed in the corresponding unit videos. Once you have chosen your answers to the multiple choice questions, you will be directed to a results page which will show the correct answers, and the reasoning behind them.

There is no need to “pass” any of these tests. The score that will be reflected on your Status chart is only meant to indicate that you have completed the test at least once. You are free to take each test as often as you like until you feel confident that the answers make sense to you.

Please also note that the technical staff at WritingMusicalTheatre.com is always ready to assist with any questions or problems.

"These courses are what all we writers desperately need."
